She was predeceased by: her husband Steve J. Metz; her daughter Marlene Metz; her parents, John V. Schwindt and Barbara Schwindt (Kary); her stepmother Helen Schwindt; her parents-in-law, Julius and Rose Metz (Hecker); her stepmother-in-law Justine Metz; and her siblings, Lawrence Schwindt, John A. Schwindt, Patricia Walker (Phillip), Chuck Thompson, Everett Stanger, Louis Hendricks, Philip Lamprecht, Herb Metz (Lois) and Roy Metz (Mildred).
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirleen Metz, Lynette Mattson (Robert) and Dana Roth (Dave); her close friend Russell Means; her grandchildren, Jennifer Harden, Kaitlyn Stowell (Tim) and Kylie Roth; her siblings, Ted Schwindt (Maria), Caroline Thompson, Lenora Stanger, Luella Hendricks and Lucille Lamprecht; and her sisters-in-law, Lou Schwindt and Lorraine Schwindt (Metz). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Prayer Shawl Ministry and Flower Garden, the Willing Workers, or Linn County Special Olympics.
