He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Rainey and Mabel Rainey; and his children, Cris Saunders of Lake Forest, Kyle Rainey of Apple Valley and Reed Rainey of Durham. He was also cherished by his children as well as his nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's name to the Boys & Girls Club of Albany.
