It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Ferdinand Flues Sr. of Astoria, Oregon, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his grandson Mitch; his great grandchildren, Melinda and Paul; his daughter Debra; his grandchildren, Teona Dawson of Astoria, Katrina Dawson-Kiosse (Jade) of Tigard, Brittany Zschoche-Smith (Kyle) of Gearhart, Mitchell Zschoche (Leigh) and Christian Zschoche (Lena) of Astoria; his great grandchildren, Dakota Dawson-Deloe of Astoria, Bella Dawson Deloe of Astoria, Emerson Zschoche of Astoria, Harper Zschoche of Astoria, Grayson Zschoche of Astoria, Steve Deloe and Curtis Dawson; his parents, Winnifred Sandnes-Flues-Hendrickson and Wayne Flues; and his siblings, Paulette Flues Brand, Wayne Flues and Ed Flues (Butch). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 16 at 1 p. m. at Bethany Free Lutheran Church, 451 34th St. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, attendance is limited to family and close friends.
Contributions may be made to the Wildlife Center of the North Coast or to a charity of choice for children and those in need.
