He is survived by : his pet Mac; his wife Constance Gaetz; his sons, Jeffrey Gaetz (Cathy) and Ronald Gaetz (Penny); his stepsons, Tod Bowser (Ruthie) and Lance Bowser (Heather); and his sister Judy Beasley (Tom). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 10 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brookings Church of the Nazarene where a fund for youth programs will be established in Leonard's name.
