We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2021, at the age of 85, Melbourne Robert Githens (Brookings, Oregon), born in Seaside, Oregon passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melbourne Robert Githens to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Melbourne Lincoln and Rosalee Elizabeth Githens (Morton); and his sister Cheralee K. Chavez. He is survived by : his wife Betty of Nesika Beach; his children, Jeff Githens (Bonnie) of Cougar, WA, Greg Githens (Barbara) of Overland Park, KS, Chis Githens of Santa Rosa, CA, Dean Hickerson of Livermore, CA, Peter Hickerson (Sara) of Post Falls, ID, Cheryl Shanks of Overland Park, KS and Patricia Medeiros (Gary) of Hayden, ID; and his sister Susie Guy of Tigard, OR. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1137, Gold Beach, OR 97444.
