He is survived by : his mother Gloria Altenhofen of Canby; his brothers, Michael Altenhofen (Deborah) of Kalama, Martin Altenhofen of Canby and Joseph Altenhofen of Nehalem; and his close friend Maria Gaal of West Linn, Oregon..

The family plans to have a memorial service in the future due to the covid pandemic.
