He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Hjelte Jan; his wife Sheila Banks (Sullivan) of Coos Bay; his children, Eric Banks (Donna) of Marstons Mills, Mass., Karen Gwartney (John), Deryl Banks (Ola) of Los Gatos, Calif., Alan Banks (Tomi) of Gig Harbor, Washington, Scott Banks (Kati) of Coos Bay and Robert Banks (Heidi) of Coos Bay; his nephew Dave Banks; his sister Ore; and his grandchildren, Graham Banks of San Diego, Dylan Banks of Omaha, Neb., Tanner Banks of San Diego, Kirsten Banks-Gwartney of Maui, HI, Brittany Cox (Banks), Nickolas Cox of Wilmington, N. C., Kasey Banks of Coos Bay, Justin Banks of Corvallis and Kaylie Banks of Wilsonville.
