He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Hoekstre and Clara Autritt Hoekstre; his wife Ruth Louise Barendrecht; his children, Carolyn Tish, Michael Tish (Tracie) and Jeremy Tish; his grandparents, Carolyn, Kylie Tish and Sharon Kliewer (Stephen); his children, Rachel Wagner (Joe), Sarah Smith (Glen), Angela Smith, Mathew Gumm (Jie) and Justin Gumm; his grandparents, Linda and Isaiah Gumm; and his siblings, Esther Hoekstre, Clifford Hoekstre, Delbert Hoekstre, Verna Meeker, Gladys Hoekstre, Donald Hoekstre and Frank Hoekstre.
