He is survived by: his parents, Spencer Smith and Lois Smith (Wiley) of Elgin, OR; his wife Jennifer Ellen Hays; his children, Shelby Byers (Grayson) of Stanfield, OR and Ian Smith of Elgin, OR; his brothers, Ron Smith (Merlie) of La Grande, OR and Russ Smith (Kelly) of Summerville, OR; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Hays (Tammy) of Williston, ND, Dee Dee McClune of Caldwell, ID, Gail Toney (Eddie) of Elgin, OR and Denise Ludwig (Don) of Elgin, OR. He is also survived by 1 grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
