He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edna (Lindeen) and George Stride; his wife Joyce Stride; his sister Marilyn Foster of Newtown, PA; his children, Bill Stride, Laura Stride and Wendy; his son-in-law Chris Redhouse of Marvin, NC; his granddaughters, Lilly and Kate; his daughter Carmen Dunstan of Redmond, WA; his cousins, James Lindeen (Ohio), Charles Lindeen (Idaho) and Ellen Stride Bresnahan (Omaha); his nieces and nephews, Erik Foster, Bruce Foster of Daytona, FL, Karin Hillegas of Louisville, CO and Kristin Glover of Richmond, VA; and his friends, Rusty Carter of Tualatin, OR and Dave Huntley of Bend, OR.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Bonnie L. Hayes Small Animal Shelter in Washington County or the Mazama Nordic or Basic Climbing School programs.
