He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rex and Lilia Lu Chappell (Eubanks); and his brothers, Jack J. Chappell and Kenneth W. Chappell. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Mc Girr; his stepdaughter Amanda Born (Nolan Riis) of Seneca, Oregon; his brothers, Bill Chappell of Salem, Oregon, John Chappell (Shirien) of Christmas Valley, Oregon, Leroy Chappell (Sonia) of Redmond, Oregon and Jim Chappell (Nancy Lenig) of Gresham Oregon; and his daughter Brook of Salem. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
