Chiyo Kato Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chiyo Kato (Gresham, Oregon), born in Sunnyside, Utah, who passed away on April 26, 2018, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Kato; and her son Douglas Kato. She is survived by: her children, Carl Kato (Hideko), Kathy Kato (Steve Burgess) and Curtis Kato; her grandchildren, Brian Kato, Denise Kato, Andrew Kato (Heather Heikkila), Amy Kato, Stephani Hern (Eric), Peter Burgess and Josh Burgess; and her great grandchildren, Blake Heikkila, Alexis Kato, Alex Hern, Katie Hern and Sadie Burgess. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ikoi no Kai (Japanese meal site), American Cancer Society or Ambleside Center at Gresham Senior Center.
