He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta Casinger Detering; his parents, Alfonse Detering and Elsie Detering (Paeschke) of Harrisburg, Oregon.; and his grandparents, Julia Detering, Wallace and William.
He is survived by: his sister Elinor; his uncles, Ralph, Gerald, James and Fred; his children, Steve Detering (Rochelle) of Mattawa, WA, Julie Detering of Harrisburg, OR and Pam McCullough McCullough (Russell) of Ione, OR.; and his grandchildren, Katie Detering Dobson, Sandy Detering Palmer, Travis Detering and Tyrone McCullough.
