He was predeceased by: his parents, William Himes and Juanita Himes (Payne); his daughter Christy Lynn Himes; and his siblings, Nadine, Virginia, Reba, Loretta and Cecil.
He is survived by: his daughter Angie Himes; his grandchildren, William, Dionicio, Skylar and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Koa and Aria; his sister-in-law Bernice Himes; his nephews, Jimmy, Mike and Justin; his niece Brenda; his adoptive daughter Rachel Dunn; and his pet Ditzy.
