He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McClain and Veida McClain; his wife Scheryl; and his brothers, Luke and Marv.

He is survived by: his children, Jay McClain, Tami Hubbard (Bruce), K. C. Koss (Vicki) and Shawny Dooney (Brian); and his brother Lee McClain (Jerilyn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
