It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Chaney Tate of Manzanita, Oregon, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Chaney and Paul Chaney; and her husband Stanley Tate. She is survived by: her children, Markland and Kelly Benson; her children-in-law, Kathy Benson and Troy Peterson; her stepchildren, Kathrine and William "Shell" Tate; her grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Carolyn Maizel, Samantha, Maya and Brooke Benson; her brother Paul "Chip" Chaney; and also Joyce. She is also survived by her niece and nephews and many friends.
