It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ardith Marrion Schmauder (McMinnville, Oregon), who passed away on April 13, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Christance Gamerdinger (Jacobson) and Otto Crook; and her husband Carl Schmauder. She is survived by: her siblings, Russell Crook, Irene Abbott (Crook), Catherine Neustadter (Crook), Rachel Best, Donald Crook and William Crook; her former husband Rodney Ness; her children, Michael Ness, Mark Ness, Luana Gantenbein (Ness), Marshall Ness, Christance Owen (Ness), Sigrid Hart (Ness) and Robert Ness; and her stepchildren, Phillip Schmauder and Patricia Schmauder. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

“We were so very sorry to hear of ardith's passing today as she shared her birthday with our son. When we lived next door to ardith and carl, ardith and i really enjoyed each other's company. We attended make up parties, concerts and traveled together wherever topper and carl had elks' meeting out of town. When we bought an rv carl, ardith, topper and myself took the first ride in it up to seaside. Carl and ardith will alwayhs have a special place in our heart. Bettye ruth and topper gamester”
