He was predeceased by: his father Verlyn Epps; and his brother Darrell Epps. He is survived by: his mother Lola Fincher (Ken Colley); his wife Anita Epps; his sister Shirley Sieczkowski (Ed Sieczkowski); and his children, Dave Miller (Chari Miller), Sara Vinje (Scott Vinje), Judy Reynolds and Tayah Epps (Andrew Gipson). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Clayton in lieu of flowers.
