With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Russell Carver (McMinnville, Oregon), born in Clatskanie, Oregon, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Carver and Phyllis Carver (Jinks); and his siblings, Patsy Black (Merlin) and Gerald Carver (Donna). He is survived by: his wife LaVonne McCool of Vernonia; his brother-in-law Frank Moore; his son-in-law Andy Jack; his sister Jeanie Moore of Gresham; his children, Ronald Carver (Dixie), Lloyd Carver (Judy), Colleen Jack, Robert Carver and Quent Carver; and also Dave. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

“I ALSO RETIRED FROM THE OREGON STATE POLICE AND KNEW DAVID AS A TROOPER AND THE FATHER OF LLOYD CARVER WHO ALSO I WORKED WITH. JUDY LLOYDS WIFE RAN THE MCMINNVILLE STATE POLICE IN MCMINNVILLE. THE WHOLE CARVER FAMILY GAVE THE STATE OF OREGON THEIR LIVES. ALL THREE OF THIS FAMILY HAVE GIVEN THEIR EVERYTHING TO KEEP YOU SAFE. GOD BLESS THEM ALL”
