“To the Lofftus Family. I worked for your Dad in Central Los Angeles for some years. He was the kindest most gentle man I have ever worked for. Oh yes - he had his "cop side" and when there was serious business to be taken care of on the street - he was a good man to have around. I later promoted and I am told by people I meet that I was a good boss - and I blame your Dad for that. I learned so much from him that I later practiced as a boss. I am so sorry for your loss.
