He was predeceased by: his son Jerrold Alan Giarde. He is survived by: his spouse June Ellen Anderson Giarde; his daughter Paulette Riggle; his son-in-law Jim Riggle of Sebastopol, CA; his son Raymond Giarde; and his daughter-in-law Shirley Giarde of College Place. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
