He was predeceased by: his parents, Randall Clifford and Edna "Agnes" Nichols Black (Beach); and his siblings, Stanton LeRoy Black, Edith Alice Nichols, Robert "Bob" Coleman Nichols, Stanley "Nick" LeRoy Nichols, Flores Agnes Kelly (Nichols) and Mary Lee Aldrich (Nichols).
He is survived by: his spouse Connie Jean Provost; his children, Jodi Lynn Black-Snook, Brent Dean Black and Erika Danell Patton (Black); his sister Jewell Lavelle Gates (Black); and his grandchildren, Sidney Jean Snook, Jerrod Bradley Snook, Cameron Haley Snook, Tarren Dean Black, Dalaney Sage Black, Degan Wesley Patton and Ethan Dean Patton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
