He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Moscowitz Kirk and Heagle James Kirk; his brother Lewis; his daughter Susan Kirk Davalt (Michael); and the mother of his children Joan Boylan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Kirk Fox (Wayne) and Nancy Kirk MacGregor (Gil); and his wife Alice Trower Kirk.
