He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter A. Welzbacker and Frances E. Welzbacker; his siblings, Peter, Lloyd and Marilyn; and his grandson David Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Rose Welzbacker (Katie); his children, Nancy Buehler (Larry) of Monmouth, Robin Townsend of Independence and Todd Welzbacker (Lorrie) of Saline; his grandchildren, Grant Buehler, Allison Enriquez (Gabriel), Danielle Townsend, Matthew Townsend (Kelly), Jarod Welzbacker, Katelyn Rittinger (Ben) and Ethan Welzbacker; his brother Gary Welzbacker (June) of Sacramento; and his pet Mollie. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
