We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2024, at the age of 101, Afton Carter Alder (Portland, Oregon), born in Vernal, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by : her children, Joann Sorensen (Steve), Linda Bair (Don), Barbara Winkel (Bryce), Susan Ekman (Ken), Jim Alder (Elaine), Maryann DeGraw (Shawn) and John Alder (Elinor). She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (14885 NW West Union Rd, Portland, OR 97229). A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at the Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park (6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225).
