He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hendrik Schouten and Maria Schouten (Visser); his sons, Hendrik (Meghan Elizabeth Harlan) and Andrew (Megan Myra Moore); his friend Eugene Vierra of Los Banos; his wife Priscilla; his siblings, Marianne Van Huizen of Molalla, Oregon, Dirkje Coutant of Santa Cruz, California, Hendrik Schouten of Portland, Oregon. and Sarah Grewe of Portland, Oregon.; and also, Nicole, Payton, Erik and Christian.
