She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Earnest Gerald and Forest Evelyn Askey Gober; her sons, Wade, Rodney and Kevin; her husband Vance Leroy; and her siblings, Patricia and Dan. She was also cherished by 3 sons, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember her are asked to make a donation to their own local school or church's music program.
