She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus Pettis and Hattie Bell Pettis; and her sister Laverne Strong of Portland. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Allen Vaughn Jr. and Vannessa Ann Vaughn; and her siblings, Macceo Pettis and Gussie Hayter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
