He is survived by: his parents, Melvin Richard Dawson and Louise Merle Belard-Dawson; his stepfather Woodrow Eddie Wilson, Sr.; his sisters, Donna Louise Dawson-Frank and Deborah Lee Wilson-Greenwood; his sons, Che, Carlyle Dawson (Kelly) and Michael Anthony King; his grandsons, Miles Dawson, Malik Dawson, Michael King, Jr. and Laron King; and his siblings, Rachelle Dawson-Bagley (Clyde), Melva Dawson-Moore, Russell Allen Dawson, Woodrow Eddie Wilson, Jr. and Timothy Wayne Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
