He was predeceased by: his wife Talitha; and his son Don Jr.. He is survived by: his brother Dale Nusom of Portland; his daughters, Joanne Nusom of Keizer and Susan Cribbs (Boyd) of Dallas; and his grandsons, Ross Cribbs (McKenzie) and Grant Cribbs. He is also survived by three great granddaughters and one great grandson.
