Gayle Allen Collum Obituary
Gayle Allen Collum was born in January of 1949 In Lebanon, Oregon. He was the second of four children, father of two and grandfather of two. He completed his undergrad studies at Oregon College of Education (now Western Oregon University) and received a Master’s degree at Portland State University. Gayle spent his working years progressing as an educator and administrator in several areas including Aumsville, Gladstone, and Portland State University. He was the longtime Vice Principal at Tigard High School in Oregon, before retiring. Gayle loved to cook, play pinochle, travel, study history, and was a big fan of the Portland Trailblazers and Oregon State Beavers. During retirement Gayle discovered a talent and passion for painting. He loved reading, especially James Patterson novels and spending time with his two grandchildren. He is survived by his partner Larry and dog, Coco.
