He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Coleman and Codella Coleman (Jones); and his siblings, Eddie, Fred Coleman, Gladys, Weatherall, Della Mae Theus, Murline Gastone and Claudean Coleman.

He is survived by: his wife Minnie; his brother Tommy Lee Coleman (Mae); and his children, Anthony Butler of Atlanta, GA, Vincent Coleman (Tanya) of Tampa, FL, Valencia Green of Portland, OR and Aundria Holt (Steven) of Portland, OR. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
