He was predeceased by: his grandmother Delores "Lola" Acosta; and his grandson Grayson Alexander Curry. He is survived by: his parents, Maria Isabel Rodriguez and Joseph Louis Hernandez Sr. Joseph; his children, Demiko Hernandez and Catherine "Cayti" Hernandez; his grandchildren, Paisley and Keegan; his niece Starr; his sister Mia (Lola); his nephews, Billy, Christopher, Stephen, Tre and Marc; Denise, Darla, Sandra, Brian and Richard.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Returning Veterans Project, in Joseph's honor.
