He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Torrey and Richard Torrey; his former wife Nancie; and his siblings, Dinah Lee and Bill.

He is survived by: his wife Julie; his son Samuel (Elena); his grandson Evan; and his sisters, Barbara (Linn Whitaker) and Robin West.
