Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martha touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Smith and Maryan Smith; and her husband Nicholas. She is survived by: her children, Mary, Theresa Escobedo (Cornelius), Nicholas Jr. (Resa) and Stephen (April). She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, and four great‑grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (1260 NE 132nd Ave, Portland, OR 97230). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery (333 SW Skyline Blvd, Portland, OR 97221).
