Richard was a hard worker and spent his life in many occupations including: ranching, farming, construction, mill work and many other varieties of handyman work. He continued to work part-time in his retired years, shoeing horses, cutting wood and providing miscellaneous services for family, friends and loved ones. He was what his wife Ginny liked to consider "A Jack of All Trades". Some of his hobbies that he enjoyed included: building flower boxes, creating home décor with horseshoes, and assisting in the remodel and many improvement projects of his home.
He was so proud of his kids, grandkids and enjoyed spending time with all his Family and Friends. The many treasured memories of him embrace: camping, hunting, riding 4 wheelers, rodeos, horseback riding, trips to the beach, road trips, traveling, vacations, Philomath Frolic, holidays and for those of you friends that knew and loved him "the good ole days". He also had a special place in his heart and cherished the time and memories that he had with his Mule Mouse.
Our Dad was someone who was considered to be a Diamond in the Rough, when it came down to it he would give you the shirt off his back! He was his own special unique character and was loved beyond measure.
He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and beloved Friend whose presence here on earth will be truly missed. The love in his Heart, His Bright Beautiful Smile and Contagious Laugh will Remain Forever in our Hearts.
