Wise Jr. (Bill); his former wife Lori Van Horne; his children, Kristin Markel of Council Bluffs and Andrew Wise of Portland, Oregon.; his wife Amy Wise (Anderson); his stepdaughter Rebecca Roh; his son-in-law Matt Markel; his grandchildren, Leah and Owen Markel; his siblings, Mary Sweeney (Dave), Colleen Wise (Allan Maas), Tracy Rooy (Dave) and Matt Wise (Annie); his sisters-in-law, Sally Anderson (Annette), Sheri Costello (Pat), Kristi Luxford (Tom) and Susan Jackman; his pet Wrigley; and also Arlene F. Wise. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
