She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Goritsan and Konstantina Goritsan (Lena); her husband Richard Allen Sly; her children, Anne-Marie Fardanesh, David (Raejean Sly) and Matthew Sly; and her siblings, Georgia G. George and Basil G. Goritsan. She was also cherished by her 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sophia's memory may be made to the Youth Ministry at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
