Stanley D Horrell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stanley D Horrell (Prairie City, Oregon), who passed away on September 26, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Horrell (Nate) and Hazel Horrell; his daughter Kathryn Horrell; and his former wife Polly Vanderpool. He is survived by: his siblings, Jack, Nadine and Anita; his stepsister Lucricia; his children, Stan Horrell (Ginny), Shane Horrell (Deb), Susan Bielemeier (Gary), Judy Rogers (Kenny) and Jared Horrell (Kristen); and his wife Teresa Stanfill. He is also survived by his five children, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Driskill Memorial Chapel (241 S Canyon Blvd, John Day, OR 97845). A reception was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Prairie City Community Center (211 S McHaley Ave, Prairie City, OR 97869). A burial was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Prairie City Cemetery.
