We bid farewell to James Stuart MacDonald Jr. of Prineville, Oregon, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 15, 2025 at the age of 73. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne MacDonald (Mitchell) and James Stuart MacDonald; and his nieces, Sarah MacDonald and Cathy Weiss. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Balzer; and his siblings, Anne Porter of Redmond, Elizabeth Casey of Bend and Tom (Nancy) of Prineville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (105 E 1st St, Prineville, OR 97754). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Juniper Haven Cemetery (1555 N Main St, Prineville, OR 97754). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Prineville Golf Club (7120 N E Ochoco Hwy, Prineville, OR 97754).
A dedicated community member, Jim served on the boards of Oregonians Credit Union and the Crook County Foundation.
