He was predeceased by: his parents, Dawsey Elmer Chasteen and Jewel Elizabeth Penney; and his siblings, Helen VanSlyke and William Chasteen. He is survived by: his wife LaVonne; and his children, Steve (Laurie), Jack (Wendy), Mike (Cyndi), Andy (Tina), Carrie Crouse (Todd) and Matt (Helga). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
