He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Thomas R. Cortez; his sister Allison Rechain; his mother Louise I. Cortez; his daughter Deana M. Frost; his granddaughters, Kelly Frost, Jenna Frost and Jayme Glen of Oregon; his son Justin Rutter Cortez (Nia) of California; his sisters, Roxanne Hubbard (Paul) and Caila O'Keefe (Patrick); and his close friends, Randy Hill, John Erickson, Greg and Margo Thomason of Douglas County. He was also cherished by numerous relatives; nephews and nieces, cousins.
