He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Karl Dettwyler and Lydia Dettwyler (Stadeli); his wife Alice Sitton; his children, Lory Roth (Dennis), Lydia Khieu (Van) and Leland Dettwyler (Monica); his grandchildren, Katelan Kamstra (Luke), Stephanie Schaap (Will), Alyssa Khieu, Sam Dettwyler, Ben Roth, Amanda Dettwyler, Andrea Khieu, Grace Dettwyler and Ava Dettwyler; his siblings, Marie Jensen, William Dettwyler (Mary), Fran Baxa (Joe), Alice Schurter (Jerry), Bob Dettwyler (Gail), Arlene Gamache (Rich) and Bernie Dettwyler (Margaret); his sister-in-law Barbara Dettwyler; and his brothers, Rudolph and Fred Dettwyler.
