She was predeceased by : her parents, James E. Freeman and Frances L Neil Freeman; her husbands, Donald Ray Hampton and Robert Lee Maley; and her siblings, Robert, Dan, David, Jimmy, Lenore Curtis Goody and Carol Monahan.

She is survived by : her sister Betty M. Blair; her children, Sheryl Lynn Dawkins (Clyde), James Donald Hampton (Sherry) and Steven Wayne Hampton; and her grandchildren, Dennis Dawkins, Wendy Lockwood, Stacy Fagin and Matthew Hampton.
