He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son Blake Hoover; his daughter-in-law Wendy Swartz of Portland, OR.; his grandchildren, Maxine and Frankie; his brothers, Russell Hoover (Iva) of Springfield, OR and Gene Hoover of Springfield, OR; and also Mike Hoover (Barbara) of Mena, AR..

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry and Troy Hoover's name to OHSU for Kidney Transplant Research.
