He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mabee; his grandson Jim; his children, James Stanley Black, Richard Black and Thema Black; his grandchildren, Rebecca Black, Shiree Farmer, Lindsey Black, Alex Black, Faith Thomas and Christian Black; and his great grandchildren, Anderson Farmer, Sydney Farmer, Parker Black, Amelia Black and Devon Black.

“This is Tiffany, granddaughter of Betty Wilson. Betty was Jim's sister from Miami they did not grow up together but always spoke on the phone over the years. They got to come to Florida and visit and I got to meet them. It was such a wonderful visit we all spent the day together in st. Augustine. We've spoken on the phone about a month ago, he called he said to tell us he loved us and he didnt have much time left. We send our condolences to his whole family he will be missed!!!”
