It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha M. Spahn (Abington, Pennsylvania), born in Bellmawr, New Jersey, who passed away on December 25, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse George A. Spahn; her parent Stephen Opiela; and her siblings, Stephen Opiela, Edward Opiela and Eleanor Nickerson.
She is survived by: her parent Stella Opiela (Daniels); her children, John S. Spahn (Pamela) of Boyds, MD and Marianne S. Geatens (Fran) of Harleysville, PA; her grandchildren, Courtney Spahn, Meaghan Geatens, Jenny Geatens, Chris Spahn, Rory Spahn, Brian Geatens and Kaitlyn Geatens; her siblings, John Opiela (Jean) of Philadelphia, Dolores Muller (Gus) of Pennsauken, NJ and Florence Hiller of Malvern, PA; and her sister-in-law Grace Opiela.
