She was predeceased by : her former life partner Robert Greenidge. She is survived by : her parents, Wallace Guetens and Esther Guetens; her husband Robert Eckroth; her daughter Diana Torres; her grandchildren, Aidan and Eliana; and her pets, Jax and Ramy.

As Arlene was an avid support of the Guide Dogs of America, her family requests donations to be made in her name to them by visiting http://www.guidedogsofamerica.org.
