He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Porter (Bill) and Catherine Porter (Moorehead); his brother Bill Porter; his son Matthew Stewart; and his nephew Wade Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Porter (Payne); his daughters, Gina Borst (Steve), Sue Ann, Burkey (Bill), Nicole Giles and Holly Carper (Allan); and his grandchildren, Stevie, Justin, Stewart, Nathan, Natalie, Raylee, Zoe, Noah, Seth, Heather, Laura, Tanner and Eli.
