She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Palmer and Squire Barbee; her child Jonell; her brothers, Wesley, Delvert and Randall Palmer; and her friend Minnie Robertson.
She is survived by: her child Baldwin; her siblings, Squire Barbee Jr. of Beaver Falls, PA, Kenneth Barbee (Lutithia) of Montgomery, AL, Elverna Barbee-Cuffie and Diane Barbee of Aliquippa, PA; her nephews, Brian Barbee and Kwai Cuffie; and her friend Mattie Christian. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
She was an advocate for continued education, empowering students to get to and through college by contributing annual donations to The United Negro College Fund and a honored recipient of The Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
